5 Free (or Nearly Free) Things to Do in Pittsburgh

Visiting Pittsburgh, PA on a budget? You can still find plenty of fun and exciting things to do without spending much cash. Freedom RV Rentals, an affordable PA motorhome rental company, suggests that you take advantage of the following free or low-cost attractions.

Mellow Mondays in Market Square

On Mondays through the end of October, you can enjoy a free, outdoor acoustic concert in Downtown Pittsburgh’s Market Square. The concerts start at noon and last about an hour.

Celebrate the Arts Sundays at the Carnegie Library

On Sunday afternoons from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., the Carnegie library offers local dance, music, poetry, arts, international film, and other cultural programs for free! Check out the Carnegie Library website for the schedule.

Free Jazz Downtown

Year round, you can enjoy the JazzLive concert series on Tuesday nights from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. During warmer months, the concert is outdoors at Katz Plaza, and moves inside to the Backstage Bar when the weather turns cooler.

Half-Price Fridays at the Warhol

The Andy Warhol museum attracts Pittsburgh visitors and residents alike. So if you’re wanting to check it out, we recommend that you do so on a Friday, when admission is half the regular price.

Discounted Burger Days

LivingPittsburgh.com keeps an ongoing list of burger joint discounts throughout the week. Most deals run you $3 or less for a great Pittsburgh burger.

Affordable Accommodations

Visitors to Pittsburgh can spend the majority of their trip funds on lodging. However, renting an RV can be a budget-friendly option, especially if you have a larger family. If you’re looking for a way to save on a motorhome rental for your Pittsburg trip, call Freedom RV Rentals at 866-876-7368. Our customer service team can give you good rates on dependable RV rentals.
